Nestled discretely behind kinnegad Plaza just off the M4, Dalton Motorcycle Training have a fully kitted out, professional motorcycle training facility to get you rolling on two wheels! After hearing back countless recommendations and reading endless 5 star reviews, it was the clear and obvious choice to me to choose Dalton Motorcycle Training to complete my IBT course and get first time riding experience on a motorcycle. The IBT course with Dalton Motorcycle Training consisted of important but very interesting and informative classes in a comfortable modern conference room followed by an introduction to the motorcycles. After the in depth class room tutorials and meeting your motorcycle on the track, you are given plenty of training and time to getting to grips with your motorcycle with hands and feet on riding experience…very exciting! All the training and practice sessions are conducted on the dedicated professional laid out onsite track and training facility and once comfortable and your instructor sees you fit and ready, you will be brought out on to the nations roads where you will experience all the glory of riding a motorcycle in a public place. All of the above is delivered and you are accompanied by trained professional instructors all the time with buckets loads of knowledge with your safety always primary on their mind. I’d like to say a special thanks to Eric Dalton and all his team which all connect like a close knit family for taking me under their wing, where from the outset I felt welcomed and in safe trusting hands. Eric was able to give me guidance, encouragement, valuable information and techniques that are priceless and will safeguard me going out onto the road. As we were divided and spilt off into smaller groups to be brought on the open road, I was assigned Peter as my personal instructor to guide me through the stages and paces. Peter accompanied me through every dip, bend and junction along the way and he comes with a wealth of knowledge and patience for beginner riders!!! This gentleman put my mind at ease with any nervous situations that crossed my path and helped me overcome these by reassurance and championed me on through my motorcycle riding journey. Fantastic experience: Just finished my IBT with them and I couldn’t recommend them more, I had never been on a bike before and was really struggling with some of the basics which they noticed, so they went out of there way to directly help me on these issues and get me fully confident on the bike. 10/10 all around they never once got frustrated with me but encouraged me to keep going at it, thanks Eric

Fantastic experience: From the first phone call with Eric until the final handshake upon completion, Eric was exceptional. I went in to my IBT with little to no experience. From the first theory session, i knew i was in the right place to learn and had made a good choice. The instructors (Eric & Eoin) in particular came across as very professional & offered great insights to the world of biking. On the training ground after first introduction to the bikes, i started to feel confident, the lads generate a calmness to the whole ordeal and before long you are riding a motorcycle and learning new skills by the hour. Important to mention there is no shortage of time spent on the bike, be prepare to be tired and stiff all in aid of you going onto the roads the second day. The second day. This for me was the icing on the cake. Eric brought myself and another trainee on a drive of around 120+ kilometres. The learning involved in this drive is imperative to ensure you feel confident and safe when on the roads alone. Eric was phenomenal for these hours, he brought us on a scenic route where you can encounter many road situations. He instructed us very clearly on approach to bends, hazards, signs, road speeds, road positioning etc. Before long these skills became natural and all tied back to the theory we had done previously. Thanks to Eric and his team for making this a memorable experience. These gentlemen will not steer you wrong, they are the best in the business. Ryan.

Fantastic experience: Simply outstanding. From start to finish Eric and his crew ensure a comprehensive,safe and informative course delivered in an extremely professional and pleasant atmosphere. Being largely ex military folks, the course is highly structured,focused, and organised and covers all aspects of motorcycling. The instructors are knowledgeable, patient, and thoughtful while still being approachable, warm, kind and good fun.And there are so many of them: at one point I counted 7 or more instructors for just 10 students. Amazing. Honourable mention must go to John O'Neill whose down to earth nature,tremendous knowledge, humour and guidance were truly fanstastic-he even helped me purchase a bike! The provided motorcycles, helmets and equipment were also top class as was the well laid out off street training area and course. While at times the course was daunting-motorbike riding is after all potentially risky-it was so well structured and managed in bite size chunks that it became very doable. A lot of very careful thought has gone into maximising successful outcomes. I am really not too sure how this service could be improved- truly exceptional people and value for money. Fantastic experience: I did my IBT with Eric and I was very impressed with my experience. From first contact he was easy to deal with and more than happy to answer any questions I had. During the IBT sessions he was very attentive and able to spot the smallest things in your riding with slight adjustment; can make all the difference to your progress/confidence on the bike. I had been off the bike for a long time and after my time with Eric I felt confident, educated and most importantly, safe to take to the roads. Fantastic experience: 100% the best choice for you IBT!!! I was referred to Eric by three different people for my IBT and I’ve no doubt this IBT is the best option available even if you have to travel far for it like I did. It’s a mix of about 5 motoring schools and all instructors coach you so there is at least 2-3 instructors that will be able to work with how YOU work! Eric was an absolute Gent, and in two days had me go from never being on a bike to passing my A-Category and feeling Informed, Safe and Capable on the road. After stopping off at a cafe on the second day I had only got a coffee cause money was tight, he noticed and without hesitated got it for me. After the IBT he said if we ever need anything he’d be happy to give us a call and help us with whatever we need to know. You won’t find many people in your life who have found their vocation and truly care about the people they impact and the work they do.

Fantastic experience: I moved to Ireland from the US and am in the process of getting my Irish Motorcycle license. Part of the requirements is to complete the IBT. Eric and his team did a great job of getting me back to the basics and helped me identify / work on some bad habits that I have developed over my years of riding in the US. They take the right approach and teach people how to safely operate motorcycles while sharing their passion for it with the group. Great course and a lot of fun. Fantastic experience: Very welcoming and friendly, if you are thinking about doing your IBT these guys are super reliable and professional. I have my bike on the road and confidently riding daily with the help from this motorcycle training school. Two days of extensive lessons, which is really something to look forward to when they are spent riding 600cc Honda motorbikes. Everything is provided by the center, your own bike isn’t necessary on the booked days. They have smaller sized engines available. Training courses are set up on a wide open ground and different maneuvers are performed that go hand in hand with required procedures on the public road. All steps are walked through and explained from protective clothing to starting and moving off. All the best, thanks again guys.

It’s a 2 day course from not having a clue how to start a motorcycle to being confident on the road. I went for an A learner permit but Eric recommended I stay A2 but if I wanted to complete the A permit call back another day and did free of charge. Very enjoyable don’t hesitate to call him! Fantastic experience: Well what can I say, the chap is an absolute gent ! On hearing that I lived in Dublin he offered to give me lift up and down to the training ground every day, almost picking me up and dropping me off at my house! The bikes were great, all the instructors were sound and straight forward. Really felt like I got my money's worth. After the first day of learning to ride slowly and control the bike in a controlled environment, we went on to spend about four hours on lovely smooth roads being guided by Eric. Such a great experience I could not recommend him and his team more to anyone considering getting their bike licence.

Fantastic experience: I can highly recommend doing IBT with Eric Dalton. The training has definitely exceeded my expectations. It is the right place for everyone who wants to be safe on the roads. I have accomplished my training two weeks ago and I was truly impressed by professionalism, knowledge and experience of Eric and the whole team of great instructors. They did their best to provide me with the best practices and most important skills that allowed me to drive a motorbike myself. Went into the experience as a complete beginner, left fully confident in beginning my biking with the skillset Eric, Tony and Adrian drilled into us. They take you from basics, step-by-step right up to 100km+ trips throughout the Midlands. There's constant feedback, reinforcing crucial safety habits and road-craft skills/awareness. Training ground in handy location surrounded by perfect roads for your first proper spins on a bike. Couldn't recommend more.

Fantastic experience: I'm not usually one to leave reviews, but I felt compelled to do so in this case. Due to the expiration of my previous certification, I am taking a second IBT course. My initial training had been with a different instructor. To put it plainly, Eric is without a doubt one of the top educators out there. Eric's quality of instruction and attention to detail were outstanding, and he always kept my comfort zone in mind. When it comes to riding, I now have a much better grasp of how to position myself and use the information available to me. Fantastic experience: I'm a returning biker, 20 year gap after a bad accident, I completed the back to biking course today with Eric, any fear or nervousness I had disappeared pretty quickly. Eric uses skills he learned in the army and applies them to bike safety which translates over very well and is really interesting too. Fantastic experience: Brilliant group of trainers who will really go beyond with the training. The guys are excellent and don't mind (too much! ) helping pick up dropped bikes and giving pointers throughout the training. Felt very safe and well instructed throughout. Very highly recommended!

Fantastic experience: I started the IBT having never driven a motorcycle. By the end of the weekend I was cruising at over 80 kmh out on the road. I thought it was very well organised and ran very proffessionaly. My advice is listent to the instructors and follow step by step their instruction and you'll be grand. Great a bunch of lads to work with, I would definately recommend.

Fantastic experience: Just passed my A category test first time with the help of Dalton Motorcyle Training. Haven't ridden a bike in about a year and after 2 pre-tests with Eric, I managed to get up to speed even though I had low expectations from myself. Everything was explained in a clear simple way and any mistakes I made were addressed. Can't thank you enough for all the help!!! Top class!!!

Fantastic experience: I just completed my IBT with Eric Dalton of Dalton Motorcycle Training. He came recommended to me from a friend who was also doing his IBT with Eric too. It was 2 great full days of learning, fun and adventure. From knowing absolutely nothing to heading out on the road for a 120km trip starting in Kinnegead and up through Longwood, Trim, Athboy, Delvin, Mullingar and back to Kinnegead, I was absolutely loving it. Very quick progression rate and very professional team of instructors, the best in the game. The constant communication from Eric via bluetooth earpiece was so helpful and gave me a feel of complete ease and confidence while out on the road. There were people travelling from as far off as Castlebar and Waterford to train with Eric so that should tell you something! No need to look any further than Dalton Motorcycle Training to do your IBT or any further motorbike training with. Thanks a lot. Paul

Fantastic experience: Recently done my MOD 5 with Eric after also doing a lesson to gain confidence and i cant recommend Eric Dalton more! You wont get better to train you :)

Fantastic experience: Had a great 2 days doing my IBT with Eric and his team. All the instructors were sound and put everyone at ease straight away. Always offering great information and help through all the stages of the course. Very patient towards people of all levels and they give you the confidence you need to get out on road and ride as safe as possible. All necessary gear was provided and the bikes were great. Highly reccomend going with Dalton Motorcycle Training for your IBT, I will be returning to Eric for my pretest in the near future. Thanks to everyone on the course.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic experience at Dalton Motorcycle Training. The guys are all so knowledgeable and professional but also a bit of craic. I felt very safe in their hands. The set up in Kinnegad Plaza is excellent. Clean, airy classrooms and toilets. Spacious training ground and easily accessible off the motorway. I feel confident going out on the road and will be going back to them for pre tests. Couldn't fault Eric and the team. Bualadh bos!

Fantastic experience: Thanks to Eric for such a detailed 2 days training while doing the IBT, all aspects of biking covered and made the ride on the road so relaxed as a first timer.
