Fantastic experience: I took the advanced driving course to upgrade my skills and increase my awareness to manage and and remove any bad habits I may have developed over the many years of driving. Colms coaching style was relaxed and informative. He put me at my ease, listened to my specific driving goals. The inital discussion in the car gave me a renewed understanding of the vehicle and the rules of the raod. The practical driving lesson through suburban Dublin, taught me to use the automatic pedals ( brake and accelerator) with greater efficacy and improve spatial awarness. Fantastic experience: Colm was an absolutely imperative part of my successful driving test result today. Having failed the first time (around after taking a significant amount of external lessons), I reached out to Colm and did a 2 hour pre-test with him two days before my exam. Fantastic experience: I wanted to do a pretest for my driving test which was just round the corner. Seeing the excellent reviews for Colm, I contacted him and was lucky to get a slot just the day before my driving test. The previous time I did a pretest about a month ago, I had a rather “popular” instructor who bluntly told me that I was just not going to pass. But to my surprise, the first words Colm told me after observing me drive for a few minutes was that my driving was very good. That gave me a lot of reassurance and confidence that I could indeed pass the test. He then worked on my few faults and gave me very valuable tips on how to overcome them in the most gentle way. Fantastic experience: Colm was recommended to me by my driving instructor to help me through stages 2 and 3 of my Approved Driving Instructor qualifying process. He removed all the mystery and explained it in plain thought provoking language. I enjoyed each lesson and that made the learning easy. I passed each stage first time which saved me time and money. Fantastic experience: I found Colm Branigan when I was looking for an advanced driving training. A can’t say I was a bad driver, just a relatively new one, quite shy to make progress, nervous in a busy traffic, getting tired quickly and messy with my car control techniques (I’ve had half a dozen driving instructors in three countries, and I not always picked up the best practices). Since I love learning, Colm appeared to be a perfect match for me, with his fantastic teaching skills and generosity about knowledge. Moreover, he genuinely enjoys each session and thrives for success of his clients, and it’s super inspiring. My driving style changed dramatically: I’m still gentle with my passengers and caring about people around, but much more progressive at the same time. I practice long forward observations and planning well ahead, so there’re much less surprises for me on the roads. I got rid of unnecessary fuss around gears and other controls, which helps me to stay focused without getting tired quickly. After 5 sessions with Colm I passed my first RoSPA advanced driving test, and that’s just a start of my lifelong journey. Highly recommend Colm to everyone who doesn’t want to stop in their development as a driver (regardless of the mileage and years of experience).

Now I’m a mum of four young children, and with such precious (and noisy!) cargo, I wanted to improve my overall driving technique as well as confidence on the road. Fantastic experience: Colm offered 2-hour lessons which was precisely what I needed as I would start making more mistakes the longer I was driving. He helped me combat that problem. Colm's style was fantastic. He really put me at ease, I was a nervous driver and with his training, I overcame it. Fantastic experience: I could not recommend Colm as a driving instructor enough! Having had less satisfactory experience with other instructors, my first take away is don't waste your time and go with the best. Calm style, encouraging and what was most valuable for someone with driving experience from abroad was the no BS explanations for everything. It's much easier to do something when you understand why you are doing it. With Colm I was able rid myself of some poor advice I had been given, and which had made me fail the test before. As well as better adapt my driving to Irish roads. Better to go with Colm and get things right the first time, than going with less experienced instructors that will make you waste your time and money.

Fantastic experience: Colm had been recommended to me by another driving instructor for being highly reputable, long established, very experienced advanced driving training provider. This was exactly what I needed to get well prepared and successfully pass first time both stage 2 & 3 of my ADI tests (driving and tuition) on the way of me becoming an approved driving instructor. From the very first session with Colm he proved he well deserved his reputation - very calm, highly detailed tuition covering every possible aspect of the skills, knowledge, attitude and testing process needed to be achieve in order not only to pass your tests but also to become a safe and responsible driver or successful driving instructor, as in my case. Fantastic experience: Colm is an amazing driving instructor. I came to Colm the day of my test for a 2hr pretest. I had done my lessons in a big driving school and did many pretests in the build up to my test. I had been given a lot of conflicting advice and opinions and I was really unsure in myself and my driving. I came to Colm feeling very nervous and not confident at all. Colm spent 2 hours with me on the day of my test, he was so calm, kind and considerate. He let me drive without overwhelming me with corrections and explained everything in a simple easy to understand way. Colm taught me things in those 2 hours that nobody ever taught me and his tips and advice were so so helpful during the test. I really believe that I wouldn’t have passed without Colm’s help. Fantastic experience: Many a times rules of road does not get into your head or does not stick as a habit because either you don’t understand them or you consider it unnecessary. This is where Colm helped me to provide crystal and at time scientific reasoning to get them permanently fixed. Fantastic experience: I've long been interested in improving my driving skills and knowledge. I was fortunate enough to have received a gift voucher with Colm . Colm's teaching style , temperament and depth of knowledge really made the session really interesting and really valuable, there are improvements that i have applied to my day to day driving as a result of the session and I have a new found joy for driving , I feel like each trip now is a chance to improve . Fantastic experience: Delighted to have taken a couple pretests with Colm. I'd heard good things from a friend, and wanted to try a different instructor before my test because I didn't mesh well with instructors I've had in the past. Colm doesn't focus on teaching you how to pass the driving test, he teaches you how to drive well and lets the rest take care of itself. This was a huge help in learning how to drive confidently with way less pressure on the end goal. Despite being a bit pricier than others, I would recommend taking lessons with Colm in a heartbeat. He really seems to tailor lessons to the learner, instead of forcing one way of learning/driving!

I decided to do a lesson with Colm because I wasn’t a very confident driver and I had little to no experience on motorways or in busy urban areas. After a bad experience with instructors in the past doing EDT lessons, I have to say this was the nicest driving lesson I’ve ever had. The 2 hour lesson flew because Colm makes the driving experience enjoyable. If you’re someone who gets anxious behind the wheel, I highly recommend him.
