Fantastic experience: I had the best experience with Steve and couldn’t recommend him enough. After failing twice on the driving test I felt I would never pass. I had over 10 lessons with two other instructors and only 2 lessons with Steve. He patiently showed me the mistakes I was making and how to easily correct them. Fantastic experience: Steve was preparing my dad who only speaks basic English for the driving test. As you can imagine, not an easy task in itself. Add to it some habits my dad developed in over 40 years of driving in a different country - and you get a somewhat challenging case. But Steve is not a man of faint heart! He made it look easy for all involved, was very patient, respectful but yet focused on the goal to make my dad adapt to the realities of driving in Ireland. Steve instilled a lot of confidence in him and made the whole journey smooth and pleasant (as much as driving lessons can be...) I highly recommend Steve, he's a true champ

Fantastic experience: I was lucky to find Steve online when searching for Driving Instructors in Wicklow area. Thanks to his pre test lesson I was able to pass the test this time on my third attempt, other 2 being in Dublin. Despite not telling him the reason for failing previously he was able to guess my shortcomings and point them out to me. I used his guidance in the pretest and applied it during my test. Fantastic experience: I did a 2 hour evening lesson with Stephen. I couldn't recommend it enough. He even accommodated my pick up at the train station and dropped off at Tesco for the bus back to Dublin. I learned about 8 different things from Stephen (he was very calm and direct and illustrated tasks on paper) and I may have even mastered my hill start now thanks to him. Don't hesitate and just book him! I feel more confident about my test next week now.

Fantastic experience: I passed my driving test first time after having my lessons with Steve! What more can i say.. I started off as a bit of a nervous driver and over my lessons with Steve I gained confidence and ability. He really focused on my weaknesses when driving and solved them. Even on my pretest i was rushing the reverse around a corner and he slowed everything down that i needed to do correctly. I then went into my test confident.. and passed. Fantastic experience: Had a pleasure of doing a 2 hour driving lessons with Steve. He taught me so much in a span of 2 hours. I was able to drive around Wicklow with his guidance. He was very thorough with the lesson and even took notes for me on my logbook. He was very patient and helpful. He made sure to cover my strengths and weaknesses during the lesson. He's also super friendly and sound. I hope I get to do more lessons with him but I'll be moving soon to a different county so we'll see. Thanks Steve!

Thanks to i - Drive Driving School and Mr Steve who has a 16 years experience. i approached Steve for the Mock test and we had a Mock test on Sep 7. he was so professional he reached on time and took me for a mock test and marked my mistake and guided me how to correct all the mistakes. because of his guidance i am able to Pass in my first Attempt. i would Strongly recommend learner permit driver to approach him for EDT classes and Mock test. Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Steve as a driving instructor. I had failed my test twice previously and had very little driving practice in recent years when I started learning with Steve. I also dropped manual for automatic. Steve gave a great structure and focus to the lessons and was calm and constructive throughout. I quickly progressed with Steve as a teacher and I recently just passed my driving test third - Steve gave great training and instruction and advice in the days leading up to the test. I am delighted with my excellent result and Steve was key to achieving that.

Aside from the EDT mandatory bits, he focused on where I needed to improve most. I passed my driving test on my first attempt and I thank Steve for that.

Fantastic experience: October 2022 I feel so fortunate to have had Steven Govan as my driving instructor. Steven is a really lovely person. Steven’s approach to mentoring is one that is consistently kind, empathetic and respectful. I am the driver that I am today largely because of Steven. I passed my test last week with only a tiny amount of grade two errors. My tester was so impressed with me and wanted to know who my brilliant instructor was at the end of the test! Steven corrects mistakes and encourages better driving habits using a patient, supportive approach to instill your confidence whilst improving your driving competence. Steven is always honest with his feedback which I really appreciate and he takes a thorough yet gentle approach in delivering it. I always came away from my lessons feeling more confident and reassured in my developing abilities as a first-time driver. Steven really is the best in his field. His lessons were always of an outstanding quality and yet Steven kindly charged me a reasonable rate of payment which was really good of him. We could all take a leaf from Steven’s book :) Steven went above and beyond in the care he took in developing my driving skills and sometimes went above the hour at little cost. Steven has an excellent way of getting through to me in his style of mentoring. He created clarity in my understanding of tricky yet important aspects of driving which not everyone could do. I will continue to implement best-practice in driving that I have gained from Steven as I want to continue to get from A to B safely. Fantastic experience: I had two pre-tests with Steve and he was brilliant. His method of teaching was very clear and straightforward and he left me feeling much more confident about my driving test. For pre-tests, he fills out a sheet where he records your mistakes, which is very useful for looking back over afterwards. The sheet is also the same one as the test instructors use. After some dodgy experiences with other unhelpful driving instructors, it was great to find out about Steve and let him help me to do my best in the test. Overall, I couldn’t recommend Steve enough to anyone looking for a driving instructor!

Fantastic experience: My driving instructor was Steve. He was very patient and taught me everything I needed to know when driving. I was always nervous on the road, but when I started to take lessons from him I started to be less nervous. He gave me tremendous support. He is extremely experienced with students and instructed through the whole process. I had a few other instructors. But he is certainly the best. Amazingly supportive, responsible and encouraging.
