Top bloke, really sound, gave me a lot of feedback and was very thorough so I knew what to focus on for my test. Wouldn't have passed without him. Fantastic experience: Good course. Enjoyable two days

Fantastic experience: I did a Pre-Test lesson with John a couple of weeks before my test. I didn't get the best out of it because I couldn't hear John clearly in my earpiece, of which more later. The session showed up some bad habits and areas where I needed to improve, so I arranged to do another session a couple of days before my test, and get plenty of practice in the meantime. On the advice of an oculist I had the ear wax extracted from my ears, and when I went back for the session with John I took out both of my hearing aids and wore both earpieces. This was a great improvement in communication and I got a whole lot more from this session. John has great instructing skills and draws out your bad habits and gets you to improve your skills. I would not hesitate to recommend him to any rider intending to take their test. Needless to say, I passed my test (with just a few minor faults:) )

Fantastic experience: I did my pre test and test prep with John at Meath Motorcycle Academy. I can’t recommend him enough. His knowledge and instruction was second to none. I also used one of his school bikes for the test which was excellent. I passed first time and I can honestly say it wouldn’t have happen without John.

Fantastic experience: Did my pre test with John and rented his bike for the test (lovely bike) and I wouldn't have passed without him, he was very strict and made sure all my weaknesses were addressed, highly recommend John to do the pretest or lessons with for that extra confidence.

Fantastic experience: I did my IBT lessons with Meath Motorcycle Academy last weekend and it was an amazing experience. The different IBT instructors in Dublin were booked up for some period so I looked outside a bit and was very lucky to be slotted in to the weekend slot on short notice with these guys. My main instructors John and Fran were top class at guiding you through the different stages of learning and most importantly, the whole weekend was a great craic! The different instructors on the site over the weekend had wealth of knowledge and gave loads of good tips on riding safely. The theory parts of the course were informative while the practical parts were fun, useful and perfect lengths. On the second day, I was on the road with the lads and despite feeling nervous at the start, after few minutes, I was very much enjoying it and felt safe as well as confident by the end. I would really recommend these guys to anyone in the country looking to do their IBT - it's worth the little bit of travel! Thanks lads!

He always brought a calm energy with extremely helpful tips which really helped to grow my confidence! With his help, I passed my test last week and know it definitely wouldn't have been possible without him! Fantastic experience: Having completed the IBT with John and the team down in Kinnegad, I reached out for some pretest training. Honestly, I can't recommend John more. I did two pre-test sessions with John. He was direct but not brutal! And it really set me up for success. Definitely recommend doing a session a week or two out, and then again just before the test. When I first met Meath Motorcycle Academy's John O'Neill I was immediately struck by his pleasant manner, huge knowledge, professionalism and decency-John has forgotten more about biking than most will ever know. Apart from instructing us in bike riding itself, John covered all aspects of helmets and safety equipment, legality,tax, insurance etc. You name it, John covered it-and all with a ready smile and good humour. He even hooked me up with a very focused lead that helped me source a specific bike for myself. Added to all the above,John's patience is substantial -as it very much needed to be with a poor student like myself! Having said that,and despite all his good natured fun and easy going nature, John is also well able to be direct and blunt- two absolutely vital qualities when you are instructing people in such a serious and potentially hazardous practise as motorbike riding. Oh, and by the way, his attention to detail is astonishing-as is his eyesight- even on the road with students 30 yards behind him -I swear there are eyes in the back of his helmet that spot all of your mistakes. Truly brilliant. So lastly, I would strongly advise that you seek out Meath Motorcycle Academy and this very kind, capable and professional man for your bike instruction needs-you'll not be disappointed. Fantastic experience: I had two pre test lessons with John and I couldn’t recommend him highly enough. He had extensive knowledge of the test routes and common points to look out for as well as great tips.

Fantastic experience: I did my IBT training with John and to be honest I have learned a lot. I was really nervous as I am a complete novice, but John and his fellow instructors helped me a lot to overcome my fear and not to give up. I loved the variety of the trainings: the instructors would swap among themselves and each of them would share experience and knowledge in relation to safe driving, picking the right PPE and giving us tips that could potentially save our lives. They always tried to make us feel better and to believe in ourselves when struggling with something. Thanks again John for your patience with me (I know it was not easy) and please say thank you to your colleagues instructors, you really did help me a lot.
