Fantastic experience: Charlie is a brilliant instructor. I can't recommend him highly enough. I started learning to drive at the ripe old age of 32 and was very nervous about getting behind the wheel. Charlie immediately set me at ease. He's incredibly patient but more importantly he's very good at getting you comfortable with manoeuvres that seemed impossible just thirty minutes earlier. To top it all off he's just an absolute gent. Passed my test first time thanks to him.

I did two lessons and a pre test with Charlie and my driving ability improved drastically. I was struggling with nerves and Charlies way of teaching created a calm learning environment. Fantastic experience: Thank you Charlie for making my dream come true and passing my driving test on the first attempt, unbelieve work you have done with me! I took the EDT classes with Charlie and straight from the beginning I knew I will learn with the best driving instructor there is in Dublin. Charlie has been extremely friendly, patient, calm and encouraging when I started practicing with him and the wealth of knowledge in combination with intuitive style of learning, written examples and explanation what I could do better made me extremely comfortable and excited to take the next lessons soon and improve further. When I decided to schedule my driving test I reached out to Charlie for two mock drives ahead of the test to ensure that I am 100% ready and must confirm that Charlie had absolutely prepared me for 100%. Charlie created a route around the RSA driving centre tailored to what the test route will look like and was marking me down exactly the same way as they would during the test. He has corrected me in all points of potential failure during the test, analysed my areas of improvement and gave me a written report to keep, so I remember what to concentrate on before the actual test. He had also sent me links to the road signs website and traffic rules questions to study through. I had followed all of his advices which ultimately led me to a successful completion of the driving test ON THE FIRST ATTEMPT that I could never even imagine that might happen before. I would recommend Charlie to absolutely everyone who is only starting to learn to drive and wants to learn to drive the right way without any bad habits, but also to anyone who is about to take the driving test and wants to see where he is at with his driving skills or who just wants to take a couple of practice driving sessions to get her/his confidence up. Fantastic experience: Charlie is an amazing instructor. I learned more from 2 pre tests with him than I did from my 12 lessons and 1 pre test with a previous instructor. Charlie breaks everything down really clearly to ensure you fully understand any mistakes you’re making and know exactly what to work on to pass your test. I failed my first test badly before meeting Charlie but 2 pre tests with him was enough to ensure I passed the second time. I felt very prepared going into the test, particularly as I did a pre test in the morning which I would definitely recommend to help settle any nerves.

Negative experience: Set up a time and then didn't get back to me. Sad because I was on a waiting list for 2 months when I could have looked elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: I passed the first time with only 7 lessons with Charlie and I’m pretty sure that wouldn’t have been possible without him! I used to be a very nervous driver but he helped me to refine the way I drove in order to, not only pass, but drive safely with confidence. He delivers instructions and tips in a way that will always stick with you. He was also very helpful right before my test, trying to calm me down even though I was a nervous wreck My only regret is not going to him sooner! Fantastic experience: I had such a positive experience with Charlie Hurley School of Motoring and couldn’t recommend Charlie enough as an instructor. Without Charlie I truly don’t believe I would have passed my driving test the first time round, not only that but I received only 1 minor. With little confidence in my ability to pass my test before I met Charlie, he addressed all the problems in my driving in such a short period of time. His notes and methods of remembering things were both so effective and helpful as well as how relaxed he makes you feel in what can be quite a stressful time. Thanks again Charlie

Fantastic experience: I had already completed my 12 driving lessons and felt I still needed help before my driving test. A friend passed on Charlie’s number to me and I’m so glad she did! From the word go Charlie was friendly and accommodating. After just four pre tests with Charlie I passed my driving test first time. I couldn’t have done it without him. Fantastic experience: Had three pretests with Charlie and my driving driving greatly improved thanks to his feedback throughout the pretests. No grades at all in my test, he really does prepare me well and the pretests were great value too! Very patient and brings your driving up to a high standard. Great communication also, had sent me some very helpful videos. 10/10 would recommend

Fantastic experience: I would have no hesitation in recommending Charlie as a driver instructor to anyone. I did my pre test lessons with Charlie and found him to be professional, patient and supportive, with a calm and relaxed manner. He helped me to manage my nerves and always gave me clear feedback on what I did well and what I could improve on. He answered all of my questions and communicated everything clearly. Another important point is that everything was compliant under the current Covid-19 restrictions, which helps both customer and instructor to stay safe. Charlie also shares lots of easy to remember tips for your test. I passed my driving test first time! After I passed, I was contacted to share the feedback from my test which shows that Charlie is interested in his driving students getting though their test, and that he values hearing feedback from candidates. Fantastic experience: I did a number of pre-tests with Charlie in the lead up to my driving test. I found Charlie to be incredibly professional, clear and concise in his instruction and very calming as well as patient throughout. Charlie took me around the various Tallaght test routes multiple times, including the exact route that I drove during the test itself. The hour before my test Charlie was available for a pre-test which really helped to ease the nerves and get me over the line with a Pass without a single ‘grade 2’. I would highly recommend doing pre tests with Charlie before taking your test! Thank you Charlie!
