Owned and established by Mike O’Neill RSA ADI 36805, Sligo HGV Training is Sligo’s leading rigid and artic truck driving school. Mike first trained as an RSA Approved Driving Instructor in 2009 in Limerick. After moving to Sligo, he obtained his instruction qualifications in Rigid, Articulated Vehicles and Bus/Coach in 2018. Mike spent almost four years teaching people to drive cars, tow trailers, drive rigid & artic trucks, buses and coaches in Sligo before deciding to launch his own business specialising in Rigid & Artic truck driving lessons.

Fantastic experience: Mike is an absolute gentleman. His focus is purely on you passing the test, no money grabbing for additional lessons where not required. His methods and attitude makes for a real personal experience. I'll be returning for the artic in the near future. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: I passed my driving test on friday in first attempt and all credit goes to Mike for that. He quickly evaluate your driving skills and starts working on that area you have to improve. He is Excellent and Patient and always keeps you motivating. Would recommend everyone.

Fantastic experience: I couldn’t speak more highly of Mikie. I’ve had a few instructors as I did lessons in Dublin initially and relocated, and he is by far the best instructor. Mikie put me at ease from the get go with his patient, enthusiastic and motivating personality. He got me test ready far sooner than I thought and I would never have managed to pass first time around without him. His tips and strategies for safe driving will stick with me forever. Highly recommend giving him a call.

Fantastic experience: Mike is a great driving instructor and he charges less than any other instructor in Sligo (lessons on your own car). He is very patient and teaches all the tips, and suggestions to pass your driving test.
