Fantastic experience: I completed my IBT yesterday and I couldn't have found a better instructor than David. Without any experience, I didn't even dream of taking to the streets on the second day of training. David is very responsible, concrete, trustworthy and at the same time has a great sense of humor. I made a few mistakes while riding and had some nervous situations, but David knew how to get me ‘back on my feet’. I still have a long way to go, but I do know, I couldn’t have had a better start. I wholeheartedly recommend the course with this man! If there were more instructors like David, our roads would be much safer! Thank you very much for all the knowledge, skills, fun and patience

Fantastic experience: I had the privilege to complete my IBT training with David at Cork Motorcycle Training and the reviews didn't disappoint. David was friendly, thorough, to the point and patient in both the classroom and bike training modules. The first day was a mix of theory and practice and the second, more focussed on real world road riding felt more like going for a ride with a friend. Davids constant advice and tips over the radio were great, not overly intense but more than enough to ensure that safety and correct riding were paramount. All in all, as a rider with some previous experience such as myself or a brand new rider, David really does have that perfect teaching style to ensure that the course is informative, complete and fun.

Fantastic experience: I would highly recommend David. As a woman that never riden a bike to go onto 650cc I was nervous especially to go on the road. On day 1 we got a lot of information and practice to get us ready for the road next day. Any question we had he answered with a lot of knowledge. On day 2 he took us on different routes for different conditions and scenarios, guided us throughout with calm and direct tone which helped me ease my mind while riding. I had great experience and given me confidence to go out riding my bike.

Fantastic experience: I couldn't thank Dave enough for the experience I had doing the IBT course with him. Coming from a horrific previous instructor Dave gave me back the confidence to drive a motorbike. I had never written any type of vehicle before and he was very patient with me. He's lovely to chat to easy to get along with and full of many stories. At times you would forget he was the instructor and think of him more as a friend. I completed the course with Dave and he let me know that I could reach out to him anytime for any questions.

Fantastic experience: David was a sound guy through and through and really drilled everything we needed to know into us, there were times I was overthinking and making stupid mistakes like not keeping my head up and overthinking my controls, David gave me the kick up the rear I needed and helped me get over my nerves and fears of getting on the road and doing something I really enjoy.

Fantastic experience: Loved every minute of my IBT Training, David is an exceptional trainer and knows his stuff. I liked how the classroom wasn't boring its a nice mix of learning with story's of his own experiences to make things reality. Out on the road was fun and exciting with breaks to keep the head fresh and helpful bits of advice along the way. Overall his a great fella and gas craic but serious when needs be. Just what you need when you want to get the job passed.

Fantastic experience: Words cannot express how grateful I am to have been taught and trained by David. He has taught me determination, patience, and most of all resilience. Not only is he a good motorbike trainer, he is also a good life coach, dancer, yoga instructor, and a singer. Literally, the Jack of all trades. Kidding aside, he has not once made me or my co-trainee uncomfortable but ensures that we push ourselves to our own limits. I cannot suggest anyone else to do your motorbike lessons with other than with David. Truly a good person in or out of the gear. Deserves a 6 out of 5 stars. Fantastic experience: This is a 6 Star Review. 5 stars for the teaching , the material covered, the delivery of the course and the riding instructions. David made sure that I knew everything I needed to know to feel prepared and safe. The theory part of the course, slow maneuver and parking lot exercises set me up for success when we went out riding. The extra star is for David himself. He went above and beyond and made sure the two days were about enjoying riding motorcycles as much as learning how to. Had a great time and I look forward to doing the pre-test and the advanced training with him as well.

From learning how to turn a bike in a carpark to taking a spin from Middleton to Lismore and back all while practicing the skills necessary to keep you safe on the road. I was told one of the best things about a motorcycle is the training and I would most certainly agree. Fantastic experience: All i can say is that the last 2 days with Dave have been absolutely brilliant in building up confidence to finally get on the road. I was a complete novice never been on a bike before. His training in both the school and spin around the country roads and towns of East Cork and West Waterford was something I'll never forget all for good reasons. Fantastic experience: I did my IBT with Dave. Arrived there pretty much a beginner without prior motorbike driving experience. Two full days of IBT training, including about three hours of theory and lot of driving (from low-speed manouvres to driving through city, country and dual carriage ways) I feel very confident to commence self-training as an L-driver. Dave is an excellent, patient and thorough instructor. I can fully recommend his IBT course! Looking forward to return for the pre-test training course in the next 6-12 months.

Fantastic experience: Great weekend with David in Middleton. Very informative, engaging and professional while keeping it relaxed an informal. David was very patient and encouraging. A great mix of classroom learning, followed by compound the road riding. I could not have expected to make as much progress and gain as much confidence as I did over the two days. I need a lot of practice for sure and follow-up training but David has got me on that journey. Go raibh mile maith agat Daithi!

Fantastic experience: Dave was a fantastic instructor for the IBT. Never felt uncomfortable or out of my depth but also felt like I was being pushed enough to learn at a faster rate. Fantastic experience: I did my beginner training with Dave. It was a very pleasant experience:). On the first day he explained to us clearly the safety rules, rules of the Road that we needed to be aware, and after he ensured that each of us was fit to drive a motorcycle. I went there without experience at all, and come out with the confidence to drive by my self. If you want to go ahead to subscribe for his lessons you need to be aware of the following: only 2 students at the time, gears will be provided by him( beside boots under size 5 ;) ) , he will provide the motorcycle, fun and professionally is ensured.

Fantastic experience: I genuinely can't rate Dave or cork motorcycle training highly enough. After a bad experience at another school my confidence was shot but Dave assured me that he'd get me out on the road and he wasn't wrong. I thought my nervousness would really hold me back but Dave was very reassuring, friendly and easy to work with. Fantastic experience: Doing my IBT with Dave was brilliant from start to finish! Lovely on the phone getting everything organised, and had me from absolutely no experience to carving the road in no time. Great knowledge and advice on everything from basic IBT to riding gear, shops to go to, advanced riding techniques beyond anything in the IBT course. Fantastic experience: I called a few places to do my bike training and they all seemed to have the same wait time. Dave was the friendliest person to talk to on the phone so I decided to do my training with him. I was delighted with my decision as Dave was the nicest, most patient person to teach me to drive a bike. I had absolutely no experience, never been up on a bike before and Dave went through everything so well that by the end of the 2 days I felt like I could drive home on a bike by myself. He helped me have that confidence to get out on the road my second day on a bike and I couldn't recommend him enough.

Fantastic experience: I gotta say I was nervous. Language barrier, me working nights for about 15 years now, so falling asleep in the daytime, but based on reviews I decided I’ll give it a shot. On the road spin his commentary as you are traveling is really helpful and by the end of the spin,it all comes as second nature. Very enjoyable, highly recommend.

He displays the most amazing patience , issues instructions in a calm and clear manner, is very conscious when to ease off or when to encourage you to try that extra little bit. Fantastic experience: It was a real pleasure doing my IBT course with David. As someone with no previous motorcycle experience, in two days I went from struggling just to maintain my balance on the bike to navigating bends at speed on busy roads and safely maneuvering through urban traffic. This was due to David's patient instruction and his emphasis on safety - he made it clear that we would take as long as needed to get it right before advancing to the next stage of difficulty. This course required a significant effort but it was an extremely rewarding experience and fun as well. The environment was relaxed and informal, with plenty of time to ask David questions, hear & tell stories, and learn from his years of riding experience. I would highly recommend this school to anyone looking to do their rider training.

Fantastic experience: Dave is very easy to get along with and really knows his stuff. He got me from having never ridden a bike before to being very comfortable out on the road within two days. Couldn’t recommend him enough.

Fantastic experience: This course was among the best learning experiences I've ever taken part in. I called a few places to book the IBT after doing my theory test, not only was Dave the first to call back but also worked with me to pick a date that suited. Coming up to the time I got advice on what to bring etc.. In two days as the course played out I went from a nervous wreck falling off the bike without a shred of confidence to having a blast on the open road with Dave by my side every second. He was focused and switched on 100% of the time without being at all militant, and his easy manner made him a pleasure to deal with. During the course a few past students even called out to say hello, and I got advice on everything from bike types to preferred gear and retailers of same. Initially I was given all the time I needed to get comfortable at my own pace, with guidance in real time but not overbearing. When we went for our spin he made sure I was comfortable and remained totally in control of the situation throughout, feeding me information about every twist and turn over the radio. I came away with a superior knowledge and confidence, in far greater volume than I thought you could cram into two days. I'd recommend this course to anyone. Thank you Dave, I'm looking forward to putting the lessons to use riding out with my family and friends on weekends for many years to come. Fantastic experience: Did the IBT with Dave just after New Years. Couldn't recommend him enough. I was never on a bike before the training and was kinda nervous. Dave's training technique soon helped get rid of the nerves and after a couple of hrs I was away. Sound man and a great teacher.

Fantastic experience: Having let my bike licence lapse I find myself having to re-sit my test and do the IBT course, which I viewed to be somewhat of an inconvenience. However, after having spent two days with Dave my opinion was well and truly changed, He has me cornering smoother, safer, and quicker than I ever picked up after years on the road. Taught me how to handle the bike correctly at low speeds and of course how to master the tight U-turn…Dave creates a great learning environment and caters for all skill levels all delivered in a calm confident manner with some humour thrown in when called for. I could not recommend him enough, had a fantastic two days and learned lots… and of course left armed with a most vital information.. he KNOWS where to get the best 99s..Thank you so much for everything Dave.

David made me feel confident on and off the big bike straight away, knows exactly how to handle and anticipate in any situation and how to make everything click so you learn at an incredible fast phase. Fantastic experience: Had a thoroughly enjoyable experience doing my ibt with cork motorcycle training. Dave is sound and and excellent teacher. put me at ease over any concerns. Very approachable and patient with and issues encountered. Day 1 was in the school with theory in class and practical out in the car park. It didn't take long for me to get up to a confident standard of driving with dave's help. Day 2 was the fun part after a few technical issues with the battery on the honda which we managed to resolve, we set off on the road using all the skills and monuvers we had learnt in Day one. We done some town driving to start and then we hit the motorway and went up through fermoy and lismore all the way up to the vee and took in the scenery before beginning our journey back towards midelton. All the time we were guided by dave by following behind him and listening to his instructions over the Bluetooth system. And let's not forget the "COUNTER STEERING" on the way down all those twisty roads . Altogether a thoroughly enjoyable experience and I would highly recommend cork motorcycle training to anyone who is considering taking the ibt. Thanks for everything dave. Take it easy

Fantastic experience: Couldn't have asked for more from my IBT with Dave. He took me from a position of no road experience whatsoever, to feeling comfortable on a variety of road types. He never overloaded me with information but worked at a steady pace, building confidence with every step. And on the road he highlighted very clearly how to respond to the road and other road users to stay safe. Great experience, would recommend to anyone.

Fantastic experience: Just did my IBT with Dave. He does this because he loves to do this, and it shows. He's really patient, and wants to make sure that each student is as ready as can be for what lies ahead. I've met very many people in my life, and Dave is among the best of them. I'll be recommending him to everybody.

Fantastic experience: I passed my IBT for category A yesterday. I must say that Dave is a superb teacher. The vibe was really great fom the beginning and it gave me the confidence to go through with it. I started from scratch but I really want to get a cat A licence which meant that I had to ride a 600cc bike for all the modules. The fact that on day two I was riding around town without fear and actually enjoying it is telling you a lot about the level of teaching we are talking about.
