Fantastic experience: I cannot speak highly enough about Alexandra. I came to them hoping to get a lesson in before my retest having done my EDT with another school and without a doubt the two lessons with them is the reason I passed my test. Caroline was incredibly accommodating and worked hard to fit in a lesson for me before my test, despite me having done no prior lessons with the company before. I learned so much more in the 2 lessons with Alexandra than in the 12+ I had with my previous school. Robert really simplified things for me and helped me refine a few things I had gone a bit rusty on, and in just 1hr Sandra helped me gain confidence with something I had been struggling with for a while. This is absolutely what made the difference when it came to test day. Both instructors were so so helpful. Every encounter I’ve had with Alexandra staff was extremely positive; it’s clear they are invested in everyone who comes to them looking for some help. Can’t help but wonder what kind of driver I would be had I done all my lessons with them, but I’m so glad I found them in the end!

Fantastic experience: Where do I start ! Amazing experience from start to finish . Caroline organised everything for me rearranging appointments etc so I could get over the line and pass my test on the first attempt . Robert who taught me to drive was so relaxed and helpful through the whole process and Sandra who done my final pretest before my test was incredible . Fantastic experience: If you preparing to take your driving test please contact Alexandra Driving School in Marino.I failed few until I contacted this school.I took 3 pre-tests with Sandra.She is terrific driver.Very patient,calm,generous with her time.After 3 times she explained me better driving nuances than my previous teacher within 12 classes.I passed my license thanks to her teaching and instructions.Caroline in main reception is very helpful booking classes, tests.Trying to offer you extra slot if you need one.Its the best driving school I delt with.Couldn't recommend it well enough

Fantastic experience: I passed my driving test first time in Raheny test Centre and have to give a massive thanks to Sandra and Caroline in Alexandra School. Sandra has been absolutely brilliant over the last few months. She’s so patient and calm, which was amazing because I was nervous starting. She always explains why something is done instead of just how to do them. She was always on time and so lovely in the car to be with. Always a friendly face. Sandra is an amazing instructor—really patient, thorough, and she helps you understand the why behind the rules, not just how to follow them. She was always on time and super easy to get along with. Thanks to her, I built up my confidence with every lesson. Passed from the second attempt in Raheny, lessons at school were the only lessons I took, having no personal car yet. Also, a big thanks to Caroline for organizing and managing everything, from the lessons to the exam. Fantastic experience: I had Sandra from Alexandra School of motoring for 2 pretest sessions. She was wonderful, having then passed the test (on my first go!) i see how well Sandra knew the testing process. She was so well informed and had the rhythm of the test so well down. She corrected me in real time, gave me the notes that were needed and was very lighthearted which made the learning process way easier. Would highly recommend this place (having studied previously with irish school of motoring)

Fantastic experience: Sandra was my driving instructor from November 2023 until March 2024. I genuinely don’t think I would have passed my test without all of her help. She made me feel so comfortable and confident in my own driving from the very beginning. She made the lessons very casual by engaging in conversations which I found really helped as sometimes I was a little bit nervous in myself and as a 17 year old it really helped a lot. The week before my test I done a pre test with Sandra and she was beyond helpful and reassured me that if I had any questions or concerns before my test to give them a call. I did in fact have a few questions and both Caroline and Sandra were so unbelievably helpful in order to make sure I could pass my test and make it comfortable for me also. Fantastic experience: I passed the test on my first attempt recently. Couldn’t get it done without helps from Tom. He is a brilliant and patient driving instructor. He not only helped to correct my old bad driving routines, but also gave me lots of encouragement to boost my confidence in my driving as I was really stressed during 2-3 weeks prior to the test. I was glad to overcome it eventually. Also, wanted to say thanks to the Alexandra team for being so flexible to schedule all my lessons in a short time before the test.

Fantastic experience: Exceeded my expectation after joining Alexandra school of motoring. Tom is genuinely a good instructor and knows exactly where you are making mistakes while driving on the roads. He very aptly corrects you and tells you how to fix the mistakes you are making and his techniques helped me clear my Driving test in first attempt! He is a gem of a person and strict as needed when it comes to driving! Similarly, Caroline helped me with all the appointments for the pretests and when and how i should be taking the final driving test dates! She helped me prep before the test with what things to keep in mind, what to focus on the test day and not to get distracted by the driving examiner! I had completed my EDT lessons with some other driving school, and then i came to Alexandra for pretests and booking the car for my test day! Fantastic experience: As an older student I came with bad habits and assumptions. Working with Sandra was great. She helped me to stay calm and not over-analyse. She explained where and how I could improve my driving without being patronising or lecturing. Fantastic experience: Very positive experience with this school. I had driving experience in other country, but I had to went through all the cycle here including EDT and driving test. Tom was my instructor in this school and instead of the generic course he focused our lessons on thigns I had to allign with local standards and rules of the road, that was crucial to pass the driving test. He is patient and strict in a good way. He broke down every mistake and explained how to perform each exercise to perfection. On the day of the exam, he helped set me up with the right mindset. Fantastic experience: I’ve been lucky to have Tom as my instructor who is not just an excellent instructor but such a lovely man to get on with which made all the lessons enjoyable and in fact so sad to know that I won’t be seeing him again. Don’t be fooled by him looking out the window, he will tell you every single mistake you did after an hours drive and how to fix them..a top observer..:) He is patient, reassuring and an amazing guy. His tips and tricks having years of experience will definitely help you in the test. Happy to say i passed in one go thanks to him! Totally loved my experience with Alexandra school of motoring and although i hesitated in the beginning due to living in Clontarf, it was not a hassle at all as you get picked up from home and dropped back and did not even need to go by the office. Caroline is very diligent in what she does from schedules to payments. She helps schedule your lessons best suited for you, sends you reminders (even on sundays) and will assist you with your test dates so listen to her when she gives you an advice coz she really knows what she is talking about. Can’t thank both Tom and Caroline enough for everything and definitely recommend anyone who considers starting driving lessons, you will not regret it!

Sandra was my instructor and she is brilliant with enormous patience and kindness. She explains things so well with her amazing drawing skills that it becomes really easy to understand and follow. Fantastic experience: I had my test in Raheny test centre today and I passed first try so needless to say, I highly recommend Alexandra School of Motoring! Caroline kindly arranged my EDT lessons for times that suited me, and I had Robert as my instructor for all 12 EDT lessons. Having no car myself at the time, or family members who drove, Robert managed to teach me from scratch and built my confidence in driving. I then had 2 pretest lessons with Sandra closer to the date of my test and she was amazing at explaining the mechanics of the car in a way that I could really understand, and giving me tips to improve my driving. Fantastic experience: (I Passed first try thanks to Sandra) I contacted Caroline at Alexandra School of Motoring a while back to see if they would be able to accommodate driving lessons for me as I needed them on such short notice. Thankfully Caroline went above and beyond and was able to get me started within a week of first contacting her. My instructor Sandra was an absolute brilliant instructor, patience of a saint, she re-assured me about any doubts i had, each lesson we focused on something different while also going over things that needed improvement from the last lesson. Fantastic experience: Just passed my driving test first time. Got top-rate support from Caroline and Sandra on the whole process from the very beginning (with everything I needed to get my learner's permit) to very end, in terms of getting myself ready for the final test. Negative experience: I was initially excited to join the driving school based on recommendations and positive Google reviews. However, my experience with their communication has been disappointing. Despite multiple attempts via calls and emails, I never received a reply. A simple acknowledgment of their current workload and inability to take me as a student would have sufficed. This lack of communication leaves me puzzled, especially considering the success stories from Irish learners. I reached out to another driving school, and everything was swiftly arranged – from class dates and the instructor to payment – all within an hour.

Fantastic experience: My instructor Robert was excellent, I really learned a lot. Very reasonable prices too, if I remember correctly. This helped me a lot as learning to drive is not cheap!

Tom was my instructor and he was patient, knowledgeable, and firm. Thanks to him I passed on the first go despite not having my own car to practice in. I can whole heartedly recommend them to everyone. Thank you again.

Negative experience: I contacted them on multiple occasion for Mock test and car hire. They never got back to me. Unless you are big fish and they can milk you for money you are of no use to them. They have achieved a good rating and business is a boom therefore they have stopped caring about customer. Now it is all about the money.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Alexandra School Of Motoring, especially instructor Sandra who is so calm, patient, knowledgeable and encouraging and always gave beneficial feedback during my driving lessons, she gave me the ability to pass my test first try at 17 and thanks to Caroline whom without a doubt always got a schedule that worked perfect for me.

Fantastic experience: Sandra is an amazing, kind and patient instructor and I have throughly enjoyed my time spent with her during our lessons! The way she teaches is very clear and detailed, accompanied with drawings for better visualisation. The positive energy that she radiates makes lesson so much more fun and enjoyable, and the rapport she builds with her students us very admirable. She goes through the test routes prior to the test and allows ample time for familiarisation of the roads so much so that it becomes second nature! I am very grateful to have been under her guidance and I recommend anyone who wants to pick up driving to learn from her!

Fantastic experience: My instructor Sandra helped me become confident and careful on the road, and I had a very reassuring time with her. I was nervous starting out and by the time I was ready to book my test I felt like a competent driver. I passed my test and am very grateful to her and the team. One piece of advice that I would give to future learners is to go straight to the automatic car, as it is much easier and calmer to drive (and to pass the test) and there is no need to make the experience more complicated with a manual.

Fantastic experience: I have had a great experience with Sandra at Alexandra driving school. In the space of 12 lessons she brought me from literally zero driving experience to passing my test in Raheny on the first try. She was incredibly calm and patient throughout our lessons. All of her methods of explaining the various driving concepts are so intuitive, it made it so easy to pick things up. I honestly can't recommend her enough. As well I'd like to say how helpful Caroline was in answering all of my questions and helping to facilitate booking times that worked for me.

Fantastic experience: Let me explain my experience in each step . 1) Rang up Caroline for booking my EDT lessons , she explained all details over the phone patiently and answered all my quiries.She then came up with the dates and explained the price , not too expensive as per what you see in the market these days . 2) Robert my instructor , he is very patient and corrected all my mistakes , from being a amateur in driving to have passed the tests now , Robert is the man to be credited. he is like a perfect instructor ,he will make sure you don’t repeat the mistakes you do once. 3) Caroline was very helpful and provided me with accompanied driver for the tests.She was so kind to have arranged a driver for me at the last moment.very genuine. 4) Brendan , he was the accompanied driver to come to me to the test venue.I remember when I lost initially he calmed me down, gave me tips to improve and corrected my mistakes.it was very helpful.And thanks to the good team I cleared my test today :) Overall a great driving school with genuine dedicated people.

The instructors were not just teachers, but also friends who helped me through difficult moments when I wasn't in the best mindset. Before finding Alexandra Driving School, I had some negative experiences with other driving schools. I was messed around and taken advantage of by two other schools, but Alexandra fixed all the errors caused by the previous instructors. The team at Alexandra Driving School are incredibly patient, knowledgeable and understanding. Fantastic experience: Alexandra school of monitoring are a great driving school. They really prepare you and leave you with no surprises. The past few months have been difficult with scheduling driving/test/nct etc with back logs but they always try their very best to accommodate you and give you their best advice. My driving instructors name was Sandra. Sandra was so helpful and made you feel confident and comfortable in your driving. I would highly recommend Sandra as a driving instructor. She was more than happy to help with any questions.
