What sets him apart is his systematic approach and the use of clear diagrams to explain mistakes and demonstrate what is required in each situation. This method of teaching leaves a lasting impression and helps you truly understand and improve. I was making several mistakes, such as improper steering control, incorrect turning positions, and speed mismanagement during turns. Umer patiently identified each mistake, explained them in detail using diagrams, and gave me ample time to absorb the information. His calm demeanor and thorough explanations are the key to building confidence and improving skills. He never rushed through the lessons and ensured I fully understood everything before moving on. Umer also advised me not to book my driving test until he felt I was ready. Once he gave the green light, I booked my test and passed with only two Grade 2 marks! If you’re looking for a patient, detail-oriented instructor who genuinely cares about your success, I highly recommend Umer. His teaching will stay with you long after the lessons are over.

Fantastic experience: I took my EDT lessons with Umar, and then came back after some practice for a pre-test session and a mock driving test. Today I passed my test at the first attempt. I went to him as an extremely nervous first time driver who had never even touched a steering wheel before my lessons with him and still I managed to pass my exam first time round. Umar's approach to teaching is great. He's extremely knowledgeable about cars, driving and HOW one should drive. This translates to clear concise instructions about how to navigate driving a car and becoming a competent driver. He is very encouraging and reassuring while also making sure you are capable to drive and understand what you need to do while handling a car. If I could give more stars than five I would as I never thought I'd become a driver but with his help, I feel so comfortable behind the wheel and elated his teaching and encouragement had me obtain my licence first time round. Fantastic experience: Would recommend anyone here ! Umar is a brilliant instructor and will guide you through from the beginning all the way to the end . He will also mend your ways of driving so you can pass the test and drive on the road confidently . Though all my classes were with Umar- I ended up giving my test in Gorey and met Ivetta the global driving school instructor for Gorey who is equally good in training and recommending the right steps for the test . Passed my test first time in my own car with only 3 mistakes and I drive confidently on road now . The best place to learn driving for beginners!! Fantastic experience: Cannot recommend enough!! Umar is a professional and a very talented teacher. His teaching style is very calm and he is very good at explaining the traffic rules and the mistakes we are making. I had two sessions with him a mock test and a refresher class. Best decision!! He uplifted my confidence and taught me ways to correct my mistakes. He made me go through all common pitfalls during the test and made sure I was familiar with them. He also provided some notes over whatsapp for revision of theory questions.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend the driving school and the instructor Umar personally. I didn't need to learn to drive due to my 15+ years of experience, but I did need to acquire all the necessary habits, where to look before each action, the sequence of actions to start, stop, turn, etc., and become familiar with Irish road signs, road marks and even traffic lights (especially how the arrows work :)). What distinguishes Umar's practice is the meaningful explanation of why I should perform each individual action. This helped not only to perform all the necessary actions, but also to understand the reason for performing each of them. This is a much easier way to acquire all the necessary habits and pass your driving test. Fantastic experience: I did 2 pre test lessons with Umar. I previously did 12 EDT lessons with another instructor back in January 2023 over only 3 days in a row (4 hours per day) so I was a little rusty when I first did the lesson with Umar as I had developed some bad habits. Umar went above and beyond to ensure I had the best chance possible to pass on my first try. He is an absolute fountain of knowledge and it is clear that he values his clients. Fantastic experience: My instructor was Umar and I can't recommend him highly enough. I have a lot of driving experience in another country, so some of irish rules of the road didn't make sense to me. But Umar was always able to explain the reasoning behind the rules in a way that made me say "ah yes, this makes sense" each time. Passed the test first try. (and my tester was one of the strictest, as I later learned).

Fantastic experience: I’ve just successfully passed my driving test without any faults in my first attempt, thanks to Umar for my training. I did my reduced EDT and a few mock-up tests with him. Fantastic experience: I would highly recommend the Global Driving School! I did a 6-hour reduced training program plus 4 hours of pre-test practice and mock exams near the Dun Laoghaire testing center. Umar is a great instructor. He is professional, knowledgeable, and patient. He has very detailed handouts and notes to demonstrate instructions on each task to be performed during the exam so you could practice on your own after class. He is a very experienced mock tester and can take you on different routes used by actual testers and can mark you as if you are in an actual exam. He knows about the routes near the testing center inside out. He is fairly firm and strict, which is great to prepare for an exam; but he’s also calm and explains things clearly, which eases anxiety before exams. Umar helped me to pass my exam on my first try in a very efficient way.

His teaching style made me very comfortable and helped me learn quickly how to transition from driving in the US to driving in Ireland. I completed my EDT lessons with Umar last year and then was unable to take my test due to the long waiting list and covid restrictions. The knowledge stuck so well that after very little self-practice inbetween, I only needed one pre-test lesson with Umar a year after our initial lessons to refresh and "pass with flying colours" (a quote from my driving tester). I highly recommend Global Driving School. It's absolutely worth it.

Fantastic experience: I had reduced EDT lessons with Umar. I was amazed by his methods of teaching because I did very fast progress and passed my test successfully with only 3 Grade-2 (zero grade-1). Umar always gives very handy advises which you can not get from any other sources. Highly recommend this school.

Fantastic experience: Highly recommended. I took the Pre test from Umar, and he not only accurately pointed out areas where I could lose marks but also gave helpful tips around how to overcome those. His dedication, enthusiasm and never ending optimism helped on building confidence, prepping you utmost for the test. Only thing Ill mention is make sure you book his appointment far before your actual test as he gets booked out very early on!

Fantastic experience: I completed my essential driver training with Global Driving School and couldn't recommend them more highly! I sat my driving test and passed it on my first attempt. A huge portion of the credit for this achievement is owed to the teaching I received from Global Driving School. My instructor Umar gave clear and calm instruction throughout each lesson, and provided lots of reading material and concise feedback to study between lessons. Fantastic experience: I had my edt reduced lessons with Umar, and simply I couldn’t recommend anyone better than him. From day 1 the whole experiemce has been nothing short of amazing to get me paasing the test easily, Umar is very patient, professional and explains everything very thoroughly to help you understand what you’re doing wrong so you can improve. All his pre test material is brilliant too so you have full confidence going into your test knowing that you will be well prepared.
