Fantastic experience: I had lessons with 4 different driving instructors in Galway. With Ioan, in less than 30 minutes with me in the car he spotted all the traits in me that kept me from reaching all my potential as a good driver. I recommend him especially if you feel stuck in your driving. He is invested and attentive. Most importantly, he prepares you for the test by thinking of many different scenarios in traffic that can happen during your test, and he prepares you for driving for life as well. Fantastic experience: I started my lessons with Ioan with no driving experience at all and no confidence driving, we started from scratch and after only 12 lessons I applied for my test and passed the first time. Fantastic experience: Loan Michi he is a great driving instructor. He is very aggressive and Short temper don’t take it as personal, that’s his style way of teaching. He don’t care about duration of class and money like others. He may shout or stop car in middle of the road or roundabout if we make small mistakes also ,just Enjoy that At the end of the lessons surly we will learn lots new things. Negative experience: rude and unorganised. He changed the price of the lesson twice before the lesson (we agreed on a Sunday and Monday he had changed the price)

Fantastic experience: Loan is an eccentric character with a great sense of humour but most importantly a genuine passion for creating safe and confident drivers. I have done all my lessons with him and am waiting for a date to sit my test. He has made me such a confident driver in such a short amount of time. He is unlike any other teacher you will find in Galway, he will embarrass you and make you stressed at times but it is only to teach you valuable lessons on the road. I highly encourage people not to take his criticisms personally and just stick it out until the end with him. The first few lessons are tough but I promise at the end you will both be laughing and having fun together.

Fantastic experience: Ioan is a very good, excellent, fantastic driving instructor, especially many Indian students have received their license from his lessons! He is my fourth instructor in galway as most others were completely money minded, but Ioan is very passionate about driving and never really bothers about time that he takes for one lesson. Even for one lesson if it takes more than an hour, he charges for only one hour. He is brutally honest with your driving which I believe makes one understand their mistakes and improve the driving skills. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND IOAN IF YOU ARE A BEGINNER !!

Negative experience: Teaching Style didn't suit me!!! I took a 2 hour pre-test lesson from Loan and I would admit that he is very Knowledgable instructor & very Flexible with timings, bookings etc. He gave me a few tips on a few things that were very useful and I was really impressed with. His teaching style, however, is very different than most instructors I have come across. He gets very intimidating and likes to insult your driving every chance he gets to try to get the best out of you. This might work for most people but did not work for me. I started getting very nervous, making even more mistakes and he became even more intimidating and the cycle continued which did not really work for me. He is a knowledgeble instructor though so this might completely work for someone else!!! Also, if you are from India, I would advice you to look for other instructors as he is not very fond of the nature of driving on Indian Roads (rightly so) that he loves to bring up every chance he gets which is a very unwelcoming distraction.

Fantastic experience: Ioan is such a character. You need to catch the critical information between his talks :) but if you can do that you definitely pass the test. I failed the test two times before. After a two hrs. lesson with him and i passed, thank you Ioan!

Negative experience: To me, I found he was a good instructor at the beginning sections. But, in later sessions he made me feel I want more lessons and even though I didnot want more lessons he started calling me for lessons. which was embarrassing. Finally on the day of my test, instead of giving me encouragement he told me dont look to get licence today just show the tester you are a safe driver and pass the test next time.. I was very nervous and I failed. And I felt even bad when he asked me for the full one hour payment for the lesson I had prior to test which he didnt do (Only done 40mts). He was not sorry for me. he was happy to see the money he was getting. ( one hour charge + rent of car). So I went back home and booked test on waiting list and I got date for the following week. I found a nice guy took only one lesson prior to test, he gave me lot of encouragement, charged very less for the lesson and the car. you know what I PASSED. This is my own experience. It will be different to person to person. One advise look for instructors who really want you pass not those who looking for your money..
