Fantastic experience: I am very thankful to HynesQuinn instructors Noel,James and John. They are absolutely professional, patient and ensure to fine tune the areas of weakness. I have passed my C category with CPC walk around test in first attempt and truly enjoyed entire experience of learning.

Negative experience: I’m deeply disappointed with my experience at what I believed to be the best driving school in Longford. Despite only requiring 6 lessons due to my international license, I opted for 12 lessons to ensure I was fully prepared, given the different driving rules and being new to the area. Throughout my 12 lessons, everything went smoothly, with various instructors providing helpful and friendly guidance. I booked my final driving test in December and secured an appointment for this week. Initially, I planned to use my own car for the test, but unfortunately, it required repairs. Upon contacting HynesQuinn to book a practice session before my final test, I also needed to book a car for the test. Despite understanding the necessity of booking a car in advance, I was disappointed to learn about the limited availability. I paid €100 for a two-hour practice session and so called mock test. However, after the mock test, I was informed that I had not passed and was deemed unready for the final test. Furthermore, they were unable to provide a car for the test. Recommended booking an additional two hours of lessons, mock test costing another €100, plus €130 for the car before the test in two days. I have 19 years of driving experience in three different countries, including driving in Ireland with my international license so I didn’t want waste more money and giving that my tight schedule, with work consuming 6 to 7 days a week, I expressed my inability to accommodate their recommendation. The final conversation with the owner was very unpleasant. I had hoped for better service and flexibility, especially considering the full amount I had paid for the 12 lessons and extra lessons. Unfortunately, I had to pay again another 85 euros and reschedule my final driving test since they didn’t provide me with a car. Overall, I felt that what I paid for was not worth it, as they were unable to adequately assist me with the final test. I am very disappointed with the lack of support and professionalism displayed by HynesQuinn. Update first attempt driving test passed on the 8th May with only 4 minor points.
