Fantastic experience: Roy is a fantastic teacher with the patience of a Saint! We started the training slowly through local Balbriggan streets and moved into Swords and more urban areas. He kept an eye on areas I needed to improve on and would give great advice on how to overcome certain things (I ride the clutch a lot). When it came time to do my driving test, he took me down all the roads the testers use and we practiced for two days prior and a "mock test" about an hour before I was scheduled. I don't own a manual car so Roy let me use his car (I passed on the first go thanks to him)! Just above and beyond what is expected of an instructor! I'll miss driving with him, it was that much fun.

Fantastic experience: Roy is an amazing teacher. He’s very patient and has taught me many skills that will stick with me through life. He has shown me what it’s like to drive and to be a patient driver. He has helped me through my 12 EDT lessons and coming with me on the day of my test to do a pretest. I would not have passed my test with out him!!

Fantastic experience: I'd really recommend anyone looking for driving lessons to choose Atlas Driving School. Roy is very patient, supportive and knowledgeable. I've just recently passed my driving test and couldn't have done it without Roy's help.

Negative experience: I had some lessons with Roy a few years ago and it wasn’t a very good experience. My parents had pre paid for 8 lessons for me and I only got to do 5. When I got in the car of the 5th lesson Roy tried to gaslight and convince me that we had gone over the hours on some of the lessons (1.5 hour lessons) which 100% did not happen, although he promised me through text he would bring me out for extra half hour because he had to cancel or reschedule our lessons together. Again this was never the case I never got the extra half hour he said he would do, so Roy then tried to charge me for extra lessons if I remember correctly it was around the €300 mark. He also only brought out my logbook for the first time on that lesson and made me pull over as he quickly jotted down the things we had “touched on” on those 5 lessons. Safe to say I didn’t do anymore lessons with Roy because something dodgy was going on. He also withheld my logbook for a few months after multiple attempts to contact him about returning it to me. From my personal experience I Would not recommend at all

Fantastic experience: I couldn't recommend Roy enough for anyone looking to learn how to drive. When I came to Roy I didn't know how to drive at all. Fast forward 12 lessons and I felt very comfortable in the car. Roy is very calm, patient and encouraging which I found was important during my first few lessons as I was a little nervous. I wouldn't have passed my test as comfortably as I did without Roy's help.

With Roy and his patience and experience I passed the test for the first time! He actually brought me to the test centre and was waiting for me until I came back to the centre finishing the test! Fantastic experience: I completed my 12 EDT lessons with another instructor which I was not happy with, a friend of mine recommended Roy to me, he in an incredible driving instructor, very helpful and motivating. Fantastic experience: Excellent instructor honestly couldn't have done it without him. His great personality makes it much easier to learn from him while also having a great time. Passed first time because of him so I'd extremely recommend him to everyone who is learning to drive

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend Roy .. He is amazing .. I contacted Roy ONE WEEK befor my test he done everything he cud to fit me in when it suited me ... I had so many bad habits and Roy got me up to scratch for the test in a week ... PASSED first time .. And also my brother passed the week befor wit him ..highly recommend him if you want to pass first time

Negative experience: I prepared for my driving test with Roy and failed 3 times. Roy wasn't able to help me improve my skills after failed attempts. Maybe I'm not the best driver, but I learn from my mistakes. And unfortunately I had to learn from it after failed tests, not during lessons. The reasons for failed tests were different each time, but after each attempt Roy was surprised that a new issue has occurred. It was new for him too! So he didn't recognize those mistakes during the lessons - like space to parked cars. And I had to pay huge amount of money just to find out after the test, that there was an issue he didn't tell me about. And the so called pre-tests of him are not serious at all. It supposed to be an imitation of a test while he remains quiet, but he was still instructing me during pre-tests, so there was no difference between pre-test and usual lesson. I felt over-instructed and wasn't prepare for a test also because there was no good pre-test. Total waste of money and time, huge disappointment, I only can advise against him

Fantastic experience: A big thank you to Roy for helping me get the pass I needed for my driving test, a true gentleman who makes you feel at ease from the second you get into his car. A total professional at all times, I’d have no issues recommending him any time.

Fantastic experience: First off, I would like to thank Roy of Atlas Driving School for his time and expertise. Roy is a very good instructor and it was a pleasure to have him teach me the rules of the Irish roads. I would recommend Atlas to folks of all ages. I can assure you you will be in good hands. I am an American Expat doctor working here in Ireland and have been driving on the other side the road under different rules for 22 years!
