Fantastic experience: I can’t recommend Udo enough. He was super knowledgeable, and every lesson my driving progressed in defined ways as per a predefined lesson plan. His recent certification in driving a 52 seater bus seems to give him a deep appreciation of what it is to be a student also. He was committed to excellence both his own pedagogy and his students driving.

Fantastic experience: Very good experience with Udo, the instructor. I had my test 20 days away and zero experience in driving an automatic. I did only six sessions with him on an automatic and cleared my test on the first go. I think that testifies and speaks for itself. Udo is a great individual. Highly recommend to plan your automatic driving lessons with him.

Fantastic experience: Udo is a wonderful automatic driving teacher based in north Dublin who I recommend if you are new to driving, at any age. After holding my provisional licence since 2013, I started lessons with Udo in August ‘23 and just passed my driving test in April ‘24. I didn’t have previous experience so I learned all my good habits from Udo who teaches with a great sense of humour and lots of patience. He’s also very responsive if you have a question, provides lots of extra materials and is reliable and easy to deal with. 5⭐️!

He plans each lesson in advance, focusing on areas that need improvement and with a constant eye toward preparing for the test. He provides timely feedback at the end of each lesson and encourages you to learn more via notes and videos. I’m delighted to have finally passed my test and it’s all down to Udo!

Fantastic experience: Udo was a brilliant instructor! I was nervous beginning but Udo made me feel comfortable and I feel like I improved my driving a huge amount during my time with him. I passed my test first time this week in a different centre to the area where we did our lessons so really pleased with the result - 100% would recommend!

Fantastic experience: Udo's a great instructor! He knew all the test routes, ensured all minor mistakes are corrected and works very closely with his students to ensure they pass the test. Highly recommended esp if your test centre is in North Dublin. Thanks Udo :)

Negative experience: Very very rude when asking for automatic lessons based in grand canal he told me to “Google search automatic lessons in d2” as his response. Informed him I know he does them for east wall and we are happy to get the luas or bus to him and his response was “no thanks” very very rude man!! Do not recommend dealing with him

Fantastic experience: Udo was my driving instructor for 6 months. I can honestly say he was one of the most patient people I’ve ever met, he made me a better driver and he always pushes you to do better. From a commercial perspective, he’s not one of those instructors who watches the clock, he always gives extra time. I passed my test first time yesterday and I recommend Udo to any learner driver.

Negative experience: Update: I’m just updating this review after the reply. I was very fair and considered not to write all my bad experience with the instructor here earlier and just left with rating. But the reply made me write this. Saying that he don’t know me is big lie. Actually I had made my friend to take classes along with us as too. We had 12 mandatory classes with Udo. I have the log book too which he sold it separately and partially used one. He never encouraged to practice on own car and insisted on more classes. Even after requesting multiple times he didn’t gave us the L plates.
