EDT Dun Laoghaire

Fantastic experience: I can without a doubt say that without Bill, Gwen and their admin Maria I wouldn't have passed my exam. I took 3 lessons a week prior to my exam and they hammered all my mistakes out of me and inserted loads of good habits into me. Their approach is to give direct and unconcealed feedback. If you are looking to get properly and thoroughly prepared for your exam, this is the place for you. If you expect handholding and cuddles, this school may not be for you.

Negative experience: I tried to have my EDT with them but Maria, the admin, decided to kick me out because I used e-mail as the preferred way of communicating. I was supposed to call for bookings for every class but she would not answer the phone and would return later on. Truth is I work in back to back meetings and unfortunately can't answer phone calls at work. So it basically took me 2 months to schedule the first and only lesson. When I finally called her after her ignoring my emails, she hung up on me and sent me an email at 6 in the morning saying she would return my money. Then she sent 2 other emails the same day saying we have a "personality clash" and the last email at 19:00 saying "urgent" class booked tomorrow at 8 am. That was after kicking me out. Very unprofessional and disrespectful. She held my money for 2 months (I paid in full for the whole EDT) after returning it. Perhaps it has to do with the fact I informed them I had consulted with a solicitor and would sue them. She also subtracted 60 euros from total for administrative fees (probably a fee for taking my call and hanging up on me). After all this comic drama, I went to Airport Driving School and passed my test on my first attempt. So, spare yourself all of this this and go straight to Airport Driving School.

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience with the school for my driving test. Gwendolyn and Bill are very professional and help you to get into the right mindset for the test. They are great at pointing out the specific nuances that the Testers are looking for and are very direct (in an efficient manner) to guide you to improve your driving technique even beyond the test.

Fantastic experience: I've had my EDT trainning in Alert Driving Ireland and it was perfect. The instructors were very well prepared, passing all relevant information about how to be a perfect certified driver. Very patient, nice and competent. I want to thank the school for having prepared me so well for the test. Thanks specially to Gwen, that helped me to remain calm in the day if the test, so my nerves would not interfere in my performance! I would give 10 stars if it was possible. I highly recommend Alert Driving if you want to pass the test.
