A Patient and Professional Approach to Learning to Drive

Pass and Go Driving School offers a supportive and calming environment for learner drivers in Ireland, led by experienced instructors Mike O’Brien, Greg Doyle, and David Skinner. Each instructor is registered with the Approved Driving Instructor (ADI) scheme and is widely recognized for their genuine caring approach. Mike, who covers Swords and Ashbourne, is particularly noted for creating a stress-free atmosphere that helps nervous students feel at ease from the very first lesson. The team’s primary goal is to build confidence, ensuring that every student feels comfortable and prepared before taking their final test.

High Success Rates and Expert Guidance

One of the most striking aspects of Pass and Go is the high number of students who pass their driving test on the first attempt. Instructors are praised for their deep knowledge of both theory and practical road rules, providing clear, honest, and constructive feedback. Whether you are a complete beginner or have previous experience from another country, the instructors adapt their teaching style to individual learning needs. This personalized guidance helps students correct bad habits, understand the nuances of the Irish test routes, and make confident decisions behind the wheel.

Comprehensive Training and Flexible Services

The school provides a full range of driving education services, including the mandatory 12 Essential Driver Training (EDT) lessons. Additionally, they offer targeted pre-test practice sessions, which are highly valued for refining skills and reducing test-day anxiety. For those who have struggled with previous attempts, the instructors provide expert tips and tricks to address specific weaknesses. The service is also flexible, accommodating busy schedules and offering extra lessons or refresher courses for drivers returning to the road after a long break.

Student-Centric Atmosphere and Communication

Students consistently highlight the friendly and personable nature of the instructors, describing them as patient, kind, and professional. Lessons are often described as enjoyable, with a good sense of humor that helps alleviate tension. The instructors are also very accessible, offering support via phone or WhatsApp between lessons to answer questions and provide encouragement. This open line of communication ensures that learners feel supported throughout their entire journey, from their first lesson right through to passing their test.

Modern Vehicles and Thorough Preparation

Pass and Go Driving School ensures that students are fully prepared for their examination, often providing mock tests that simulate real test conditions. Instructors pay close attention to detail, offering insights into what testers look for and how to navigate common pitfalls. The vehicles used for lessons are well-maintained and suitable for training, providing a safe environment for students to practice. Many reviews mention that the thorough preparation and calm demeanor of the instructors made the difference between passing and failing, leading to a smooth and successful transition to independent driving.
