The Driving School

Experienced, former tester-led instruction

The Driving School, also known as Foley's Driving School, is based in Kildare, Ireland, with a strong focus on serving the Naas and Tallaght test centres. What sets the school apart is its team of experienced instructors, including a former driving tester. This unique background allows them to provide students with an insider’s perspective on what examiners are truly looking for during the practical test. The school aims to help learners become not just licensed, but confident and safe drivers from the very first lesson.

Building confidence and reducing test anxiety

A recurring theme in student feedback is the instructor's ability to put nervous learners at ease. Many students highlight the patience, kindness, and calm demeanor of the teaching staff, noting that the learning environment feels more like a supportive friendship than a strict instructor-student relationship. This approach is particularly effective for those dealing with test anxiety, as the instructor takes the time to correct bad habits without judgment and encourages steady progress. The personalized attention ensures that each student feels comfortable asking questions and making mistakes, which is crucial for effective learning.

High pass rates and effective preparation

Students frequently praise the school for its high success rate, with many reporting that they passed their driving test on the first attempt. The instruction is described as thorough, clear, and practical. A key component of this success is the inclusion of pre-test sessions, where instructors review specific test routes in Naas and Tallaght, giving students a significant advantage on exam day. The teaching method balances theory and practice effectively, providing valuable materials for revision between lessons to reinforce learning.

Modern vehicles and flexible scheduling

In addition to expert instruction, the school offers modern training resources, including the use of Teslas, which adds a contemporary touch to the learning experience. The school is also noted for its flexibility, with instructors who are willing to accommodate students' schedules for both initial lessons and refresher courses. This adaptability, combined with the availability of various training packages, ensures that learners can find a program that fits their individual needs and lifestyle.
